RF Field Optimization
Some of the key activities you will undertake as Telecom Drive Testing and Field Optimization Engineer may include the following;
- Customer Complain Handling. Receives customer complaints tickets from Back office, call the customer, visit the location of the complaint, conduct indoor and outdoor tests to checks for coverage, quality, data throughput using drive testing tools such as Huawei PHU, Nemo handy, TEMS Pocket, Tems Investigation etc.
- Drive Test log processing and Analysis: Process drive tests logs, analyze and identify areas of poor coverage, quality, drops, low throughputs, handovers failures with Actix Analyzer, Huawei Assistant, Tems Discovery.
- Physical Antenna Optimization Changes:
- Receives change request from Back office, go to site with rigger and effect the physical changes. Conduct post drive tests on specific technology 2G/3G/4G to see service improvement, prepare and send final reports.
- Acceptance Test (cluster/SSV) : Conducts service test (voice/data on require Tech) for all sectors of new sites to check coverage, quality and throughput.
- Audit physical and logical parameters such as PCI/PSC/BCCH, Antenna Height, Azimuth, LAC, TAC, CELL ID are according to planned data, check for swap sectors etc.
- Reporting: Generate cluster and Single Site Verification Report containing coverage, quality, data throughput plots etc. for 2G/3G/4G technologies
- New feature activation tests: Conduct specific such as MIMO, VOLTE, MOS,
CSFB and Carrier aggregation in a cluster consisting of several sites or single site.
